The Research Question
According to dictionary.com a library is "a place set apart to contain books, periodicals, and other material for reading, viewing, listening, study, or reference, as a room, set of rooms, or building where books may be read or borrowed." Librarians know the library has become so much more.

Using your research skills, give a brief introduction to how libraries have changed over time. Then, use the majority of your project to speculate as to what the library of the future will be.

Judging
Judges will be chosen from library, education and media professionals. Guidelines, available here, will be used in the judging process. Judges will select the first, second, and third place winners as well as two honorable mentions in each division at the regional level. All formats within each division compete against each other as the goal is the effectiveness of the answer and not the technical aspect of the format. Regional winners are forwarded to the VEMA SMF chairperson for statewide judging. Statewide first place winners will be chosen from this pool. Emphasis will be on clarity, conciseness, creativity, citations, and effectiveness of medium used.
