The brochures Academic Success at Your Library, formerly on the DOE page, are now available here: The Instructional Professional Standards Committee has worked to find correlations between the Virginia Standards of Learning and AASL/ AECT National Standards for Information Literacy. Materials for Library Media Specialistst that Support Instructional Standards Integration (Excel spreadsheet) - These materials have been used and highly recommended by at least five library media specialists in Virginia. They may be sorted by title, author, publisher, copyright date, ISBN, or category. Links to School Library Home Pages - This chart provides links to many school libraries in Virginia. School Library Impact Studies - Studies on the impact of school libraries and librarians on academic achievement have been conducted in Colorado and more than a dozen other states along with presentations and other studies by by Keith Curry Lance. Laura Bush Foundation for School Libraries The Laura Bush Foundation for America's Libraries is a component fund of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region (CFNCR) in Washington DC and will provide staff, asset management, and office infrastructure. A great place to find supplemental materials for novel units.
